Project overview
A flagship 5-star hotel in Dubai Marina undertook a comprehensive refurbishment and engaged AVIPRO Technologies to replace all AV, PA, and digital signage infrastructure across the property. The scope covered 480 guest rooms, a 1,200-capacity grand ballroom, 8 meeting rooms, 4 restaurants and bars, the lobby, and all back-of-house areas.
The challenge
The hotel remained fully operational throughout the refurbishment, meaning all AV installation work had to be scheduled around guest occupancy, event bookings, and F&B service hours. Work in guest corridors was restricted to 10pm–6am. The ballroom — the property's primary revenue generator — could not be taken offline for more than 48 consecutive hours. Coordinating 14 sub-contractors across a live 5-star environment demanded military-grade logistics.
Our solution
AVIPRO developed a phased installation programme that treated each floor and outlet as an independent work package, enabling parallel progress without disrupting operations. Guest room AV was standardised on a Samsung hospitality display platform with in-room control via the hotel's existing PMS. The ballroom received a 12-metre wide LED wall, a 96-channel Yamaha digital audio console, and a distributed speaker array capable of splitting into 4 independent zones for concurrent events.
