Project overview
A government authority in Abu Dhabi commissioned AVIPRO Technologies to design and build an integrated command and control centre capable of aggregating live feeds from 200+ cameras, IoT sensors, and external data sources onto a unified operations floor. The facility required 24/7/365 uptime with no single point of failure.
The challenge
The project carried the highest security classification, requiring all personnel to hold valid security clearances and all equipment to meet government-specified standards. The video wall had to display 4K content from 48 simultaneous sources without latency. Redundancy was non-negotiable — every critical system required a hot standby. The facility also had to comply with strict electromagnetic shielding requirements.
Our solution
AVIPRO specified a 6×3 matrix of 55-inch narrow-bezel LCD panels forming a 16.5-metre video wall, driven by a Crestron NVX AV-over-IP distribution system with full redundancy. A secondary control room was built as a hot standby, capable of assuming full operations within 30 seconds of a primary failure. All cabling was routed through EMI-shielded conduit, and the entire AV infrastructure was integrated with the authority's existing PSIM platform.
The command centre AVIPRO delivered has become the nerve centre of our operations. The reliability, the picture quality, and the speed of the failover system give our operators complete confidence.
